How can a little bit of everything hurt so good yet continue to push the boundaries of your personal thresholds – balance! 2011 brings 6 races to the series divided by 3 XC disciplines providing you with 2 opportunities to tweak and refine each type of race to achieve your personal best. Welcome to the 4th annual and updated version 4.6 of the Ohio Power Series. This is not your typical cross country race series. We’ve tried that before, many times, in fact. And no matter what we did, it left the same bland taste in our mouths. But rather than using a tanking economy as an excuse to bag the whole race series, we switched it up and focused instead on what sets us apart. We scoured magazines for inspiration, held deep conversations with the local racers and friends, we listened to emails and seasoned veterans. Before we knew it, we were overwhelmed with ideas and thoughts and we are doing our best to bring the tastiest morsels to fruition. The 2011 Power series is here! Go at it…get it dialed, Win it. Here’s how we do it: – We slap a smokin’ hot course in front of you and entice you to go fast with outrageous prizes – Cash, Bike Frames from Jamis Bicycles, Swag from North Face, Oakley, Swiftwick and more. Recovery food provided by either Chipotle or Pizza Pan. Goodie bags filled with Monster Energy Drink and Hammer Nutrition, LUNA Bars, Revive, Emergen-C, Chamois Butter for all racers! Local bike shop sponsors going huge for the event prize tables. We bring it…It’s that simple – the rest is up to you!

Demo Expo | Cross Country Race | Downhill Race | Kid Events | Muddy Paws Bonus Dog Race
Vulture’s Knob kick starts the NE Ohio race season on April 30 & May 1st with a slew of events that only the good doctor could compile. Demo bikes from Jamis, Yeti, Intense, Raleigh and Scott from 12:00 til dark. 2:00 the tiny tots and mighty mites will kick off the racing weekend with fun filled kid races and activities. At 3:00 the Cross Country mountain bike race season begins as young and old, beginners and pros will be put to the test on the mighty VKnob trail system. Immediately following the XC race a “free” bonus race will be held. aka The 2nd Annual ”Muddy Paws race” which is open to all and is a short track time trial type event with you, your dog and your bike. Following the awards ceremony a bonfire will be lit, DJ Madnote will be spinning tunes and primitive camping is available. On Sunday, May 1st we wake up and open a new chapter at Vulture’s Knob with the first runs down the new downhill course. Complete schedule of events and times can be found on the Event Website
VKnob race entry fees include 1 giant Chipotle Burrito as you cross the finish line, Monster Energy goodness to keep the vibe flowing late into the night and all the racing zaniness you can handle. All races are held on Saturdays followed by Bonfire, DJ, primitive camping & good times. All racers receive a goodie bag at registration and the awards ceremony is like no-other…not to be missed.

September 19th | West Branch State Park will host the endurance leg of the NEO Power Race Series. Endurance racing has become the fastest growing segment of mountain bike racing and an endurance race at the most popular trail in the area is sure to test riders skills, fitness and determination. The West Branch Enduro Race will test riders ability to endure long hours in the saddle riding challenging terrain. Pro/Experts will race approx 6 hrs, sport approx 4-5 hrs, novice 2-3 hrs.More…
Jamis Bicycles will be returning for the 6th year to Camp Manatoc on Sept 4th and 5th. Visit us this weekend and hook up and test ride the bikes that consistantly earn top editors choice awards. This gives you a chance to test ride a wide array of bikes. Their highly educated Demo Team will be there to answer any questions and better inform you about the Jamis product line.

The Designs for Women Test the Best Demo team are traveling about the U.S all year long and will be at the Manatoc Experience oÂn Sept 4 & 5th. The Specialized Designs for Women product line is the most complete package of bikes, components and apparel specifically engineered for the female rider. NE Ohio's largest mountain biking event
September 4th & 5th
The oÂne weekend of exclusive trail access will be returning for its 9th year building oÂn the successful two day festival format. This two day event is much more than a typical mountain bike race; there are clinics, open riding, group rides, race course preview, a children's zone, limbo contest, bunny hop contest, CAMBA group rides, cyclocross races, 1/2 marathon trail run and manufacturer demo bike exposition in addition to the race.
