Trailbuilding Updates:
Westbranch—new bathrooms installed near trailhead. Minor trail fixes hope to be addressed in spring.
Royalview- existing trail maintenance spots mostly done. New 1 mile loop will be finished off with one more day in the spring
Bedford- Cleveland MetroParks (CMP) is evaluating trail options there. IMBA representative Andy Williamson said some of IMBA’s resources could be available for Bedford. A proposal will be made to CMP.
IMBA Trail Care Crew will be returning for a visit in 2013.
Events:
Christmas fundraiser/benefit was a success. About $400 was raised, but more importantly, a good time was had by all. Thanks Spin. Extra CAMBA pint glasses will be available at future events.
New Years Day Ride—all ready to go. See you @ 12:00pm
Ray’s IMBA Weekend—Martin Luther King weekend is a 2-for-1 special deal for IMBA/CAMBA members.

CAMBA will be meeting to discuss the transition of our organization into the IMBA Chapter program. CAMBA leadership views this change as a positive direction for our club as we will be tied more closely into the larger effort to build trails with a national organization. Over the past few months, we’ve also had the opportunity to interact with Andy Williamson(local IMBA director) who has made himself available for meetings and discussions concerning the parks mtb trail activities. His input and presence has been making an impact and becoming a chapter will solidify the relationship through our membership support.
This is a big step and the meeting is your opportunity to have your voice heard and learn more of the details. Of course, as we move through this transition, CAMBA leadership will be communicating details with our membership. The meeting location is:

Camba Meeting: October

Camba held a meeting on Oct 3 at Aladdin’s Eatery. Below are the minutes.
1) Trail updates-
Royalview- work has started, a history of how we got the trail was given (online version can be read here)
West Branch- Multiple reroutes are in the planning stage. More details will come with trail work season.
2)New Board member- Mike Farley was voted in as CAMBA Board Member replacing Neal McKillips. The remaining board members will be voted on at an upcoming meeting, but as of now all positions are filled.
3)President position- At the end of the year Andrew Miller’s term as president will be ending. As of right now , no one has filled that position. A couple options were discussed at the meeting, including Andrew acting as interim president until someone can be found, our club can run for a while without a president and a reshuffling of positions so another officer can be president. The big problem we face is getting a new crop of leadership involved as the current leadership starts families, business’s and retire.
4) Christmas Party- The job of planning the christmas party was given to Rick Deshields.
5) Next Meeting- is tentatively scheduled for Nov -7th

Camba will be holding a meeting August 8 to discuss topics for the next coming months. This is a good starting point to get involved with CAMBA, learn what is happening and what our plans are, or just meet fellow mountain bikers. We will ride after the meeting weather and conditions permitting.
