With spring weather finally cooperating, let’s get back out to West Branch State Park this Saturday to finish up on spring prep and repairs along the lakeside trail. We’ll also evaluate soil conditions for the upcoming riding season, so we can advise the park on an opening date! We’ll meet at the west boat ramp parking lot at 9AM (next to our trailhead lot). But as usual, come out anytime that works for you, for as long as you want…..we just need your help to get this trail ready! Ping me if you can’t make it out at our start time (FB or e-mail trails ‘at’ camba.us), and I’ll advise on where to meet up (or just start hiking down our lakeside trail from the trailhead).
Don’t forget the new registration process this year for state parks. So before showing up to any trail days at West Branch, please be sure to check our FAQ page for info on registering with ODNR. If it’s easier, you can also fill one out before we start the trail day (will have forms on-hand).
Don’t forget #2 that WB trail is still closed to ALL users due to typical spring saturation (includes runners, bikers, hikers). Please respect all trail closures and pursue other alternatives for outdoor recreation. If mother nature complies this year, the park may open the trail sooner that expected (usually 3rd week in May)…..so stay tuned!
